Kinship Of Rivers 
Dear Ms Wang, I would invite you to visit the headwaters of the Missouri and Yellowstone Rivers of Montana. These were the source to the greatest grass plains of the world with short grass with the highest protein in the world…or so I am told. I grew up where the mouth of the Tongue River empties into the Yellowstone. A place that the Lakota peoples used in the winters and later was the source of departure of George Custer in pursuit of Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse. I digress….this land is beauty but is in the process of gentrification and the loss of its old characteristics…You can float the Smith and Missouri Breaks and it is still wild remote and wonderful. I came across your site from you interview with Gary Synder who I met and was a teacher of mine. He knew my friend Tom Birch and would come up to Missoula where I was a student and still love immensely. Thank you for your wonderful optimism and beauty.
